Each and every one of us wants to turn dreams into reality. We all have goals and ambitions. Some of us find ourselves stuck in the same dead-end job, while others would be glad to have a job. Some kids are disappointed that they do not get to start for the team while others just want to be on the team. You see, we are all different, and our dreams are unique. But how do we turn dreams into reality in our life?
Jeremiah 29:11 NASB “For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.”
Believe it or not, God made each and everyone of us unique. No two people out of the billions that walk the face of the earth are exactly alike. What does that mean for you? You are one of a kind. Not to make this sound corny, but God designed you the way he wanted you. He has a plan for your life and he wants you to succeed. The problem is, sometimes our dreams do not run parallel to the desires of God.
How do we turn dreams into reality?
No matter where you are at in your life, it is never too late to start over. Weather you are five or fifty, you still have an opportunity to pursue your dream. It is never too late to start the business that you always wanted. Switching careers in the middle of your life might be the best thing that you can do for yourself and your family.
Sometimes our plans are derailed by God's plans. When God starts working in our life, our plans change. Have you heard that little voice in your head when you are in deep thought? Does the voice get louder when you start doing the right thing? Sometimes the voice gets really loud when we are doing the wrong thing. Going down the wrong path sometimes requires God to slap us on the back of the head to wake us up.
I know that slap on the back of the head all too well. I have gone down path that I though was right. The path that I wanted to go down, only to be derailed and put on another path in life. The funny thing is, I am happier now then I have ever been in my entire life. I have a clear direction on where my life is going and how God wants to use my life to further his kingdom. I know that everything in the past has built up to this point for a reason. Is it a God thing? I certainly believe so. The more I changed my path, the closer I got to God. Instead of chasing and empty road, I had a clear view of what is ahead of me.
