Saying goodbye is something that we will all have to face at some point in our life.  Nothing on this earth will live forever.  The only thing that can give us hope in life after death is Jesus.  Without Jesus, you will go to hell when you leave this earth.  The simplest thing in life is to accept Jesus, but it is often the most neglected.  For what ever reason, many people leave this earth each day not putting their faith in Christ.  One thing that I know for sure is that we are not guaranteed tomorrow.  We are only given today.

Yesterday my wife's grandmother passed away.  My wife and I stopped by to see her on Valentine's day.  We knew she only had a short amount of time left on this earth.  So when we visited, we knew that we were saying goodbye to her for the last time.  The good news is that she knew Jesus and she is now with him face to face.  Nothing can give more comfort to a grieving family then to know where your loved one went upon their death.  Sadly, many people do not share the luxury of knowing where their loved one will spend eternity.   I know that the feeling of helplessness torments these families every day.

Buried in all the suffering and pain of this world, there is hope.  There is a path to healing and it starts by following Jesus.  The choice is yours.

Saying goodbye doesn't have to be forever.

One thing about saying goodbye to someone that knows Jesus is that you will see that person again.  Not on earth as we know it, but we will be together for eternity in the presence of our Lord.  The promise of eternity in heaven breaks the sadness left here on earth.

If you are not right with God, you will not spend eternity in heaven.  Upon your death, you will not go to a better place.  Your suffering here on earth will pale in comparison to the torment that you will face in hell. There is no soft road between heaven and hell.  There are only two places to end up when you leave this earth.  If you do not know if you will go to heaven after your death, I encourage you to check out our how to get saved page.  I will leave you with a few verses that show our salvation in Christ.

John 14:6 NASB Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Acts 4:12 NASB And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”

1 Timothy 2:5 NASB For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
