Rarely do you hear a motivational speaker talk about putting your focus on today not tomorrow.  Business and financial guru's are always talking about planning for tomorrow.  There is nothing wrong with having long term goals for your life.  But what happens if there is no tomorrow and all we have is today?

Concerning salvation, we cannot put off our relationship with Jesus until tomorrow.  There may never be a tomorrow planned for us.  Only God knows the day and the hour that we shall leave this earth.  If you intend on bringing Jesus into your life at a later date because you are not ready, that day may never come.

James 4:13-17 NASB Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.” 14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. 15 Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that.” 16 But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil. 17 Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Focusing on today not tomorrow will yield more spiritual rewards.

Proverbs 27:1 NASB Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

Now is the time to make a change in your life.  Just as Proverbs 27:1 says, you do not know what tomorrow may bring.  If you are struggling with committing your life to Christ check out our how to get saved page.  Crossing the line to salvation is the easiest but most rewarding step that you will ever take in your life.  No matter where you are at in your life, you can start your journey today.

One of the hardest things to let go of is our pride.  The simplicity of accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior is often made more challenging than it is.  Pride is the chains keeping us from having a personal relationship with Jesus.  No matter what is pulling you away from living your life for Christ, I can almost assure you that pride is the contributing cause.  When you feel ashamed, angry, scared, lonely, anxious, depressed, you let these things control your pride.  What ever feeling drive your life, pride is the fuel that keeps you going down the same road.

Time to try something different.

If your life isn't working out the way you planned, something needs to change.  Today has now become tomorrow and tomorrow will become today.  Today not tomorrow will rescue you from your fears, sins, and torments.

Matthew 6:33-34 NASB But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
