I really cannot believe how much beautiful weather we have had recently. A couple of days ago the temperatures got above 70 degrees. That is unbelievable for February in the Midwest. With the next week well into the 60's, we have seen a new record high for February.
This time of year, we usually have snow on the ground. It is cold, sometimes frigid. In fact last year at this period we were shoveling snow from our driveways.
Isn't amazing what God does with nature? Genesis 1:1-31 “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening, and there was morning, the first day.”
So if God created the world and everything in it, then how is there such a thing as man-made climate change?
I guess you can put me down as a man-made climate change denier. I am sure that some of you are ready to give me a high five, while others are willing to slap me on the back of the head. Most of the quote unquote “scientific research” is presented by those who do not believe in God. Well, I guess we can make the assertion that they are God the creator deniers
How do I explain beautiful weather in February?
Today I was sitting on the porch just taking in all of the beauty that God has created around us. It is amazing to think that every little thing from the birds in the sky to the grass on the ground had the same creator.
I was reading John today, and I came across this passage. John 1:3 “All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.”
So I thought to myself, if everything was done through him (God) then how could a man possibly change the weather?
2 Peter 3:7-10 “But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.”
According to 2 Peter, the world will be destroyed with intense heat. So do these warm temperatures, and beautiful weather have any correlation to the end of days? Maybe, maybe not. But I am sure that we have nothing to do with the world heating up.
When is the world going to end?
Let's leave the predictions and our revelations to Matthew 24-26 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”
