I cannot help but think that we are living in an overly sensitive culture  Too many people are easily offended by peoples actions and words.  Instead of letting other people live their life, the overly sensitive culture tells you that you must conform.  If you have watched the news lately, I am sure that you have seen a story or two to know what I am talking about.  You hear stories about how the minimum wage should be $15 an hour.  Free healthcare is a right.  And the list goes on and on.

Living in an overly sensitive culture is brought on by a lack of moral conviction.  Yes, you heard it right.  When God is rapidly being removed and rejected by society, things are bound to change for the worse.  Instead, love thy neighbor as yourself, your neighbor better get with your program.  Instead of having talks out on the front porch with your neighbors, you pull your car into your garage as fast as you can and close the door behind you.  See, when we do not work with each other, we end up working against each other.

Instead of what can you do for your country, it is a new culture of what are you going to do for me?  My how the times have changed from the mindset of a Christ-like servant to an angry, ungrateful, self-conceded, self-centered culture.  I wish we could get back to a culture of building God's kingdom.  When I see fellow brothers and sisters in Christ getting caught up in the nonsense of being overly sensitive, I just shake my head.  Instead of being Godly leaders in a dark world, these Christians become of the world.  One of my favorite verses in the Bible is listed below.

John 15:19 NASB If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

How does living in an overly sensitive culture change your Biblical worldview?

Are you strong enough to fight the urges of becoming another overly sensitive fanatic?  Instead of crying wolf or freaking out when things don't go your way, why don't you turn to God?  Using God as your default when coping with life's struggles will lead you farther away from being earthly.  Don't fall for the tricks of Satan by joining the crowd and seeking appeasement for your injustices.  Instead turn all of your problems over to God.

When you take to the streets or your computer to protest an injustice, you look like a fool.  If you have to draw attention from this world to feel secure in your grievances, then you are going down the wrong path.  Why not seek happiness and comfort in the blood of Jesus.  After all, you are only here for a short time.  Life is too short to join an overly sensitive culture.
