How much faith do we have? So little faith keeps miraculous events from happening for us? I think so because when I pray and submit my life to God, great things begin to happen for me, and those around me.
When my faith slips, the goodness slips as well. The challenge is to maintain my faith during the best of times, as it is during the worst of times.
That's why the poor tend to do better with faith than the wealthy. The wealthy are with less struggle and tend to forget that their future depends on their ability to be poor in spirit, but the poor have nothing else but faith.
Somehow, I think it possible that my faith or lack of faith impacts others as well. You visually see the strength of my faith just by looking at me. You know something is different. Something great, and engaging.
But when my faith is weak, you also know as I smile less, and am distracted. The infectious glow is missing; the commanding presence is not there. The disciples felt this when they were unable to drive out a demon from a boy, and needed Jesus to complete the task.
What demons are you unable to drive out leaving you in need of Jesus to handle your situation? You must seek him with all your heart so that he is there for you when you are with so little faith. Ask him to come and drive out your demons, and to strengthen your faith.
So little faith to drive out the demon
“Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.””
Matthew 17:19-20 NIV
You will know when your faith grows, as happiness and peace will come into your life. And, it will seem as though you are finding God. The truth is, he is always with you, he never leaves you even when you choose to ignore him.
