Reading my news feed on Facebook today, I came across a story on the Blue Whale suicide challenge. At first, I thought that the story was about suicide prevention. After digging into the article, I found out the grim and sinister facts of the story. Apparently, the Blue Whale Suicide challenge has been circulating on the web for a while. There is a small, but growing following online.
So to recap the article that I read. How the sick game starts is with a 50-day dare. Each day, you are to do a series of specific things that are scary. Some of the dares include waking up in the middle of the night to watch a horror movie. Others include dangerous activities like drinking bleach. At the end of the 50 day period, the challengers are dared to commit suicide. This sick and satanic online game claimed the lives of at least 130 young people.
Challengers are encouraged to carve a picture of a whale on their body with a razor. Why a blue whale you ask? The term blue whale refers to animals who intentionally beach themselves on land in an attempt to commit suicide.
Why is there a Blue Whale suicide challenge?
If you haven't seen the sharp decline in our culture over the past decade, it is time to wake up. Now more than ever is the devil putting a full court press on humans. Satan is intent on destroying God's creation created in his likeness. He wants to take as many lost souls with him to serve an eternity in hell.
We need to reach our youth before it is too late. There are many signs that people give before attempting suicide. Realistically, the only thing that you can do to stop someone from committing suicide is to pray for them. Without the power and intervention of God in this person's life, the dark path will continue.
Isaiah 41:10 NASB ‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
