Nonbelievers Preaching to Christians

I am sure if you have watched the news. Lately, you have seen a lot of nonbelievers preaching to Christians.  If you look at some of the rallies being held, you can just read the signs.  Take a look at social media, where nonbelievers are preaching to Christians in nearly every post.  Why do people find it necessary to read Bible verses for the sake of throwing them in Christians faces?  The devil is at work.  One of the devils favorite tools is to use God against Christians. The devil loves undermining the Creator.

When you talk to an aggressively agitated nonbeliever, they have no idea what the Bible verses they are using mean.  More than likely, they took a quick troll on Google and found something they thought they could use to make Christians look like hypocrites.  This, in turn, rallies their collective group of nonbelievers into jumping on the bandwagon.

Religious leaders must do a better job of explaining Bible verses.

When you see Christian leaders with a political agenda throwing out Bible verses all of the time, they are doing more harm than good.  It is careless and reckless to quote the Bible to push your agenda.  A news organization picks up on what the leader said and circulates the web.  Nonbelievers see these stories pop up on their Facebook news feed and have an epiphany about an “I got you moment.”  They think that since a Christian leader throws out a few Bible verses to guilt other Christians, they have some merit with these words as well.

An intentional Christian leader would have explained what the verse meant.  They would dig deeper into the scripture to find supporting verses for their claims.

Nonbelievers preaching to Christians mocks God.

When you use the words of God to push your agenda or to provoke another, you are mocking God.  You are attempting to make the words of the Bible meaningless.  Quite frequently, Bible is being used as a tool to use to when trying to shame others.  The Bible is many things to Christians, but it should never be used as a weapon.

It is pretty easy to tell if you are dealing with nonbelievers preaching to Christians.  Usually, you are not able to engage these people any further than the verse they threw in your face.  These people do not know Gods love nor do they show it in their actions.

Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.  Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

As Christians, it is our job to be the salt and the light of the world.  When we are faced with these situations, we are to show Gods love amidst what is being thrown our way.  When we react out of anger, we do not choose our words wisely.  Using Gods words to counteract mockery is the most Biblical approach we can make.
