I never would have thought I would learn how to have a completely amazing life with what I have today! Never before have I had as much self-esteem and self-confidence. What you probably don't know is that I've struggled with low self-esteem and self-confidence all of my life.
What happened that changed everything? I learned how to have faith in God empowering the Holy Spirit to work inside of me.
My pastor gave a sermon asking, “Do you believe in God? Do you believe God?” I believe in God, always have. But, I realized that I didn't believe God, and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, he created all of what we are, so what would I have to lose by letting him take control of my life?
I started asking myself, “What does it take to believe God?”
That is a tough question when you first ask it. I turned to Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirt, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” I thought that the verse is saying, you have to be poor to be rewarded in heaven, but that is the wrong interpretation.
That's pretty tough, especially for wealthy people, but what it really means is that you lay down your pride. That you accept what is happening without dismissing or making excuses. You are placing your struggles in the hands of God.
A completely amazing life before Heaven
So, if I place my struggles in the hands of God, then will I suddenly be blessed? I believe so, once I get to heaven, but what about while I am still here on Earth?
All these bad things have happened, that have left me struggling for so many years, so how do I change all of that and live a blessed life? I needed to swallow my pride.
I worked at accepting where I am, that I need to ask for, and accept help without feeling guilty. That people don't know where you are, unless you let them in. That's what I did.
And, all this time, I kept working on believing God. Suddenly, I went from having hope that things would work out, to having faith that things will work.
Have a completely amazing life with faith in God
Suddenly, everything started changing. I found myself just doing what needs done without trying to figure out what is best to do first. I have more time to complete my work, and people are noticing around me.
And, I found myself doing what is right, without first qualifying the outcome, and suddenly, I am being rewarded!
Most importantly, I have more self-confidence than ever, and I am leaning on God to steer me in the right direction. Finally, I trust God and believe in God! I have faith in him, and in myself through the Holy Spirit.
Every day I get up and I know that today is going to be a great day. I go to bed at night feeling fulfilled after having a productive day. Finally, my life is coming together, and is better than ever! Yes, even without all of the material possessions I've had throughout my life. It is way better.
