God Never Leaves a Prayer Unanswered

God never leaves

God never leaves any prayer unanswered.  Sometimes an answer is no, and sometimes it is yes.  Other times God will give you a not now answer as well.  One thing is for certain; God never leaves your prayers unanswered.  Probably the hardest part of prayer is accepting the answer that God gives you.

Usually, when we pray, we request for things to happen the way that we want them to happen.  We do not consider what God wants for our life.  One of the biggest challenges for me was to change the way I prayed.  Instead of asking for God to deliver something for me, I asked God to use his will for my situation.  This does two things for your prayer.  First, it takes your stress level down a notch because your expectations are not for what you want, but what God thinks is best for you.  Secondly, it strengthens your prayer because it shows God that you are mature enough to except the answer that he gives to you.

God never leaves prayers unanswered.

You may have been praying for something your entire life.  At some point, you think to yourself that you are not praying enough or good enough for God to answer.  Some of you might even give up hope and question whether or not God exists.  I get it, I do.  Our culture is built off of instant gratification.  We are conditioned at a young age to expect results.  When we do not see results, we must be doing something wrong.  It is time to change stuff up.

Sadly enough, many people buy into the ways of our culture.  Instead of being patient in the word and focusing on continued prayer, they seek instant gratification from a genie.  If you look at God as a genie, you will be disappointed.  Not because God does not deliver good things, but your way of thinking does not follow God's plan for your life.  See, God knows you and knows the plan for your life.  He gives you free will to choose a path to walk down.  Ultimately God will use every one of us to further his kingdom in some way or another.

Now is not the time.

When the answer is no or not now, do not give up hope because God is working on what is best for your life.  Sometimes the best results come from the biggest obstacles.  God conditions us to be better, and the challenges he throws our way are meant to draw us closer to him.

1 John 5:14-15 NASB This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
