God Knows our Heart and Mind

Only God knows our heart and how we feel.  No matter how good you are at hiding your feelings, God knows the burdens and struggles of your life.  Since we are God's creation, it is easy to understand how he knows our heart and mind.  After all, he made them for us.

I know in my life it is easy to forget that I do not have to walk my struggles alone.  Every time something is on my mind, or I am challenged, God knows what is going on.  I don't have to tell him how I feel or the questions I have because he already knows.  He is just waiting for me to ask for some help.  There is no struggle to small to bring before God.

As parents, we love our children.  We would do anything for children.  It breaks our hearts when something bad happens to our kids, or they are struggling with something out of our control.  We do everything in our power to help them.  Sometimes we give them hard love because that is what they need at the time.  Our children look to us for answers and help.  They reciprocate the love we show them.

We are God's children.  God not only cares for us as we care for our children, but he loves so much more.  It saddens God when we are struggling.  He sees our pain.  Sometimes he chooses to let things happen to us because he knows what is best for us.  It is hard to understand why God lets us continue to struggle.  We cannot see past our problems.  Isn't it a great feeling to know that God is always looking out for us even though we cannot see him?

God knows all of our struggles, and he is there with us through them.

When you feel alone, you should find comfort knowing that God is always there with you.  I have struggled with believing this for a long time.  Some battles take years and years to work through.  Others may take an entire lifetime.

Habakkuk 2:3 “For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “For everything, there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.”

God's time is much different from ours.  A thousand years is like a day in God's eye.  When we are struggling with problems for years, they are only seconds to God.  It is hard to grasp that analogy, but when we put it into perspective, it makes sense.  God is never too busy to fix our problems.  He just has his timing.

Psalms 90:4 “For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or as a watch in the night.”
