Are you Living in the Shadows?

living in the shadows

We have all found ourselves living in the shadows of life now and again.  When you feel like no one cares about you and the world wouldn't miss you if you were gone.  Your entire life you fought to become something significant and widely accepted by all.  At the end of the day, you are worse off then when you started.  Sound familiar?  Let me tell you the good news; there is hope.

See, when we focus on things in this world to find our happiness, it is like reaching for the clouds.  No matter how hard you try, you will never get there.  When you are living you're for Christ; things will start to change in your life.  You don't have to take my word for it, try it for yourself.  When you find yourself down and out, look at where your mind is going.  Do you find yourself struggling with self-pity?   Are you overwhelmed because you can't handle life alone?  When you are living in the shadows, it is hard for people to see you.  Your world becomes dark, and before you know, you fade to a distant memory.

There is only one thing that can make a stand out in the darkness, and that is light.  How do we become light when your soul is so dark inside?  Finding the love and grace of Jesus is the only way to light up the darkness and fill the void of emptiness inside.  This isn't a quick prescription for your problems.  Jesus, however, is the only medicine that works.

Mark 2:17 NASB  And hearing this, Jesus *said to them, It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Tired of living in the shadows?

If you are tired of living in the shadows, then look no further than Mark 2:17.  Jesus came here to heal the sick.  Everyone is a sinner.  No matter how righteous and holy someone seems, they are still in the same boat as you.  It doesn't matter how high of a pedestal others put themselves on.  We all have two choices, heaven or hell.  That is it.  There is no middle ground or the halfway point.  You cannot be half way there with one foot in the water and one on land.

Do you know where you will go when you die?

John 8:12 NASB Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
